Raising the bar on responsibility

TransCanada’s commitment to delivering 실시간 바카라 responsibly, being a good neighbour and a top employer has been recognized byCorporate Knightsmagazine with an improved ranking on its annual2018 Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canadalist.

TransCanada ranked 22^ndon the 2018 list, moving up seven spots from last year to become the top-ranked midstream 실시간 바카라 company. This year, TransCanada was also in the top 25 per cent for key performance indicators, such as innovation capacity, safety performance, women executives and clean revenue.

Corporate Knights Inc. produces rankings and financial product ratings based on corporate sustainability performance. On average, the Best 50 Corporate Citizens paid slightly more taxes, had significantly more female leaders, generated fewer greenhouse gases and air pollution, had lower employee turnover and earned a higher percentage of their revenue from clean sources. Plus, they had a much smaller gap between the CEO and average worker pay than their large Canadian peers.

Why ranking systems are important

Ranking systems, such as Corporate Knights,CDPand theRobecoSAM Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI)help us hold ourselves accountable for our performance, as well as identify the work that still needs to be done. Additionally, indices provide third-party credibility and validation of TransCanada’s economic, social and environmental commitments for our stakeholders.

Raising the bar

On June 7^th, we were also honoured to receive the Environmental Excellence Award in Partnership from the Southern Gas Association for our work enhancingmonarch butterfly habitatalong the company right-of-way in recent years.

We were also recognized earlier this year for our commitment to responsible development by RobecoSAM, as one of the top-scoring companies in the oil and gas storage and transportation industry to be included in their2018 Sustainability Yearbook.
